We are looking for a Air Freight Import / Customs Clearance Clerk for our office in Czech Republic. You will have a good opportunity to further develop your career and grow with us.
Role
- Full operational handling of the Air Import shipments including customs formalities
Description of Responsibilities and Key Tasks including decision making authority
- You will be responsible for air import shipments of our clients
- You will be the main point of contact for coordination between all applicable parties for all air import shipments for our customers
- You will also be responsible for timely completion of import documents, customs clearance process and coordinate with both customer and/or warehouse for timely delivery of cargo
- You will communicate regularly with customer in regards to customer’s shipment status as well as continuous communication with overseas to meet delivery commitments; follow-up with airline or shipping company to monitor and track arrival information and updates
- You will ensure customer profiles are accurate and updated
- Sales activities toward agents and customers
Required qualifications
- Documented experience from the industry
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Knowledge of Customs Procedures, Entry of Goods, National Customs Systems, etc.
- You should speak Czech and English and master the same in writing. Additional language skills are welcome
Soft skills
- Proficient with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and a high level of clerical speed and accuracy
- Interested in learning and building a career in international transport/logistics
