We’re excited to announce that Maurice Ward Group is growing its Sales Team in Ireland and is looking for a driven Business Development Executive to help expand its customer base.
Established in Ireland in 1968, MWG is an independent global freight forwarding organization with 50+ offices across 28+ European countries. We offer a professional, supportive and engaging workplace where ambitious people can grow and succeed.
We are seeking a commercially driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment. The successful candidate will be confident, proactive and results-oriented, with the ability to build relationships, generate leads, prepare proposals, negotiate and close new business.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Generate leads through prospecting, networking, referrals and market research.
- Follow up on leads from partners, marketing activities and internal referrals.
- Build strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
- Understand customer logistics needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Prepare quotations, proposals and tender responses.
- Negotiate agreements and close new business.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate CRM records.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Represent Maurice Ward at meetings, exhibitions and industry events.
- Work with operational teams to support customer service and onboarding.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience in business development, sales or account management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- A competitive mindset and passion for winning new business.
- Confidence in cold calling, prospecting and presenting.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently and within a team.
- Logistics, freight forwarding or supply chain experience is beneficial but not essential.
- A full, clean driving license and willingness to travel.
