We are immensely proud to share that Maurice Ward Bulgaria, Hungary, Ireland and Romania recently successfully renewed their ISO 9001:2015 certification until June 2024. With this general quality management standard, Maurice Ward Group (MWG) guarantees its prospects, customers and partners the highest standards of cooperation.
ISO 9001:2015 is the quality management system (QMS) standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Its main focus is to ensure businesses continually approve and attempt to always exceed customer expectations. In September 2015, ISO 9001:2015 officially replaced ISO 9001:2008. The revision helped the ISO 9001 standard be more applicable to organizations in different industries, beyond the manufacturing sector.
ISO 9001 certification offers several benefits, including:
At Maurice Ward Group we are delighted that we can demonstrably offer such high standards in our collaboration, because the highest demands on ourselves are also firmly anchored in our company philosophy. That is why MWG is committed to regularly carrying out external audits, such as ISO re-certification.
In addition, sustainability has also been given a permanent place in the company philosophy since its foundation, now more than 50 years ago. We are, for example, constantly working on ways to lowering MWG’s CO2 emissions by, among others, purchasing Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV).
ISO 9001:2015 re-certification is important, however, it certainly does not mean the end of the process as we are continuously monitoring through internal and external audits. In this way, MWG continues to improve in order to further increase the quality of the service as well as customer satisfaction, which is our ultimate goal. The first ever ‘cargo only’ flight was recorded in November 1910 in the USA, using a Wright Model B aeroplane that flew 65 miles carrying a package of silk. The business owner used the pioneering transport more as a PR stunt to celebrate the opening of his store, with the bundle of silk cut into individual pieces and glued onto souvenir postcards.
