We are delighted to announce that the Maurice Ward Group attended the MiPharma Conference in Barcelona, Spain, 16-19 May 2022. The MiPharma alliance aims to connect freight forwarders worldwide who provide a quality service in the transportation of pharmaceuticals and healthcare logistics.
More than 35 partner companies were present, with more than 80 participants. The development of existing and new partnerships was facilitated by more than 800 b2b meetings, of which more than 60 were with us. In addition to the successful partnerships that were formed, we were also delighted to meet our partners in person. Ms. Alexandra Sanna-Caunter (CZ), Ms. Kelly Merkouraki (GR) and Mr. Gabor Florian (HU) represented our company during the conference. Our group has joined the MiPharma Association in 2021 with offices in Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia and United Kingdom.
Major changes around the world have highlighted the importance, and challenges, in making sure medicines reach the people who need them. The first ever ‘cargo only’ flight was recorded in November 1910 in the USA, using a Wright Model B aeroplane that flew 65 miles carrying a package of silk.
