Maurice Ward Bulgaria team recently attended the Bulgaria–Brazil Business Forum in Sofia, where business and institutional representatives explored new opportunities between the two countries. Trade reached approximately USD 750 million in 2025, nearly 20% higher than the previous year, with growing potential across technology, renewable energy, infrastructure and innovation.

The forum comes at an important time, as the EU–Mercosur Interim Trade Agreement began applying provisionally on 1 May 2026. The agreement introduces tariff reductions and simpler trade processes between the EU and Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay.

The first ever ‘cargo only’ flight was recorded in November 1910 in the USA, using a Wright Model B aeroplane that flew 65 miles carrying a package of silk.
