Maurice Ward Turkiye has signed an exclusive contract to become the authorized logistics service provider for AJet Airlines
AJet Airlines, formerly branded as AnadoluJet, is a Turkish low-cost carrier operating domestic and international flights from Sabiha Gökçen International Airport. Originally a trademark of Turkish Airlines, AJet became an independent airline in 2023, though it remains a fully owned subsidiary of Turkish Airlines.
MW Turkiye’s partnership with Ajet covers the handling of all AJet shipments, including aircraft parts, marketing materials, and tools. Currently, the volume is around 100 shipments per month, with expectations for growth in the coming years.
This partnership aligns with Maurice Ward Group’s long-term strategy, as we continue to focus on the aerospace sector as a Group.
The first ever ‘cargo only’ flight was recorded in November 1910 in the USA, using a Wright Model B aeroplane that flew 65 miles carrying a package of silk. The business owner used the pioneering transport more as a PR stunt to celebrate the opening of his store, with the bundle of silk cut into individual pieces and glued onto souvenir postcards.

On 15 July 2026, the UK–India Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement came into force. Trade between the two countries was worth approximately £48 billion in 2025.
